Spanish embassies in Hong Kong
Currently, Hong Kongese citizens can enter Spain without a visa on condition that they will only be for staying for a maximum of 90 days for business or tourism purposes. However, as from 2021, Hong Kongese nationals who are planning to visit Spain will first need to register for an ETIAS visa waiver.
There are more than 120 foreign representations in Hong Kong of which the Spanish consulate is one. While there are over 560 Spanish consular and diplomatic representations overseas, the Consulate General of Spain in Hong Kong is the only Spanish representation that is situated in Hong Kong. The closest other Spanish representations are in two neighboring countries of Hong Kong, namely Beijing and China. At the present time, Hong Kong does not boast consular or diplomatic representation in Spain.
Travelers are strongly advised first to contact the Consulate General in Hong Kong if they have any queries in connection with passport requirements and visa rules. Their office hours for visa application and collection are from 09:00 till 13:00. However, the Consulate General could be unavailable and, therefore, it is best to reach out to the Consulate General beforehand to confirm the office hours to avoid disappointment.
