Visa rules may change from time to time. At the present moment, citizens from North Macedonia may enter Spain without a visa for short visits that will not exceed 90 days. If the visit will be longer than 90 days, citizens of North Macedonia will have to apply for a Schengen visa.
Starting from 2022, an ETIAS travel authorization will also become mandatory for any North Macedonian national wishing to travel to Spain. The application process for an ETIAS will be straightforward and an applicant will be asked to fill in information such as his/her full name, date of birth, address and passport number. The goal of this new travel authorization is to better security as well as immigration across Europe. Citizens from North Macedonia will also be able to travel to all the other Schengen countries with an ETIAS.
As visa requirements can change, travelers are strongly urged first to contact the representation if they have any questions regarding their passport requirements and visa rules. While the sole representation’s office hours are 09:00-14:00, it is also best to reach out to the authorities beforehand to verify the office hours to avoid delays.
