Spanish embassies in Singapore
Currently, the Schengen Visa is required from citizens of a number of countries in South America, Asia, and even Europe in order to travel to countries of the Schengen Area for tourism purposes. The Schengen Visa allows a short stay of up to 90 days.
In 2021, in addition to the Schengen Visa that will still apply to some countries, a new electronic travel authorization will be introduced, the ETIAS Visa Waiver. The ETIAS will also apply to those countries outside of the EU and Schengen Area that are currently allowed to travel to this last area visa-free.
The ETIAS will also be available for citizens of Singapore who are currently required to apply for a Schengen Visa. However, it will only allow trips for tourism or business purposes.
Until then, and for any other type of visa for Spain, citizens of Singapore can visit the Embassy of Spain, responsible for assisting with any inquiry regarding travel authorizations and documentation for their trip to the Mediterranean country.
The Embassy of Spain in Singapore is the only diplomatic representation in the city-state and one of the 117 foreign representations in Singapore.
